Welcome to October! Food throughout this pandemic has been a big topic and having enough food on our tables and in our cupboards is an ongoing priority that can easily create anxiety if there isn’t enough. Numerous food distributions have taken place around the state helping families considerably throughout these uncertain times.
Here at Black River Good Neighbor Services our food shelf continues to be a stable resource for folks who can’t make ends meet or just don’t have enough food to get through the month. The process to access the food shelf has been made easy. For folks who are first time users, information is gathered over the phone, confidentially. Food is then boxed up and ready for pickup at a mutually designated time. It’s a stress-free process that provides a good supply of food for several days. Please don’t hesitate to share what we do with anyone who may need a helping hand. We are here to ensure that no one goes hungry.
