News from the Thrift Store & Food Shelf

Happy New Year! With holidays behind us our thrift store and food shelf are both bustling!. We have had some very generous food shelf donations that enhance food orders, for which we are most appreciative. With that said, we continue to rely upon donations to keep the shelves full of ample food for those in need. Items that may not come to mind, but equally necessary include condiments such as mayo, ketchup, salt and pepper. These are important ingredients for cans of tuna together with meats.

We do wish to thank the Ludlow Fire Department and the Proctorsville Fire Departments for their most generous contribution of time and effort in sponsoring our Stuff-A-Bus event in December. And, many others gave so generously including Wright Construction, Cota & Cota, Ludlow Rotary, Church of Annunciation, Tyson Ladies Aid and numerous community folks. We are grateful for this outpouring of support.

Please share with anyone who may need extra help our information. The food shelf is open Monday through Friday, 10 AM–3 PM by calling 802-228-3663. The process has been streamlined and, of course, confidential. We serve residents of Ludlow, Mt. Holly, Belmont, Cavendish, Proctorsville and Plymouth. With New Year wishes for good health and sharing the news to those less fortunate that our food shelf is here as a necessary resource.
